Richard Dawes is currently Managing Director at R&D Consulting, a business that provides financial services and tax and business advisory to clients in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa. Prior to this (Jul 2011 to Apr 2016) he held the position of Chief Finance Officer with Cargo Management Services, a management consultancy company situated in Harare with major clients nationwide involved in ethanol manufacturing, 10,000 ha sugar cane growing, crocodile rearing for skin exports to major European markets, cattle ranching, Game Ranching and Conservancy, and Mining. This portfolio had a consolidated turnover in excess of US$130 Million in 2015. Prior to this Richard worked as Managing Director for footwear manufacturer Superior Holdings (Pvt) Ltd (Jan 2009 to Jun 2011), horticultural export business Mitchell and Mitchell Fresh Exports (2008), Director at South African based Coast2Coast Investments and as Financial Controller (Asia region) for  –Intabex Thailand Limited (1996 through 2003). Richard is currently Acting Chairman of public listed CBZ Holdings Limited and is Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairperson of CBZ Life Limited. He is married with two children
